The Municipality of Wawa requests homeowners TURN OFF their WATER BY-PASS VALVES, EFFECTIVE May 17, 2021. Thank you for your co-operation this past winter.

This year, Emergency Preparedness Week (EP Week) is May 2-8, 2021.
Emergency Preparedness Week is a national awareness initiative that has taken place annually since 1996. It is a collaborative event undertaken by provincial and territorial emergency management organizations supporting activities at the local level, in concert with Public Safety Canada and partners. EP Week encourages Canadians to take three simple steps to become better prepared to face a range of emergencies:

Huntington's disease (HD) is a progressive brain disorder caused by a defective gene. This disease causes changes in the central area of the brain, which affect movement, mood and thinking skills. Community Living Algoma is a non-profit, charitable organization committed to the full inclusion and citizenship of people with intellectual disabilities. Now in its 68th year of operation, it provides services and supports to over 720 children and adults in the District of Algoma.
Municipal Council does hereby proclaim the month of May 2021 as “Community Living Algoma Awareness Month” in the town of Wawa.
