voterlookup.ca is a new online service for the Municipality of Wawa electors to confirm and update their electoral information used to compile the final Voters’ List for municipal and school board elections.
Gone are the days when Ontario municipal and school board electors filled out and mailed in Municipal Enumeration Forms to ensure they were on the Preliminary List of Electors used to compile the final Voters’ List for municipal and school board elections. Times have changed and the organization responsible for compiling the Preliminary List of Electors used by municipalities to create the final Voters’ List has kept pace.
voterlookup.ca is a secure online service for electors to confirm their information is accurate and up-to-date before the upcoming municipal and school board elections. voterlookup.ca replaces the traditional Municipal Enumeration Form mail-in system.
The information collected through voterlookup.ca is used to build the Preliminary List of Electors provided to Municipal Clerks and used to create the final Voters’ List for municipal and school board elections.
The process at voterlookup.ca takes just a few minutes from start to finish. Electors need only their basic information – name, address, city/town/village name and date of birth – or their assessment roll number to confirm their eligibility for the upcoming elections. If assistance is required, users can contact the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) at 1-866-296-6722.
Information submitted through voterlookup.ca is shared only with municipalities for the purposes of creating the final Voters’ Lists. The platform was designed in partnership with, Ontario’s Privacy Commissioner.
voterlookup.ca is designed to be quicker and more efficient than the traditional Municipal Enumeration Form mail-in system, which yielded a 40 percent return rate.
