CONSTRUCTION NOTICE MACKEY STREET SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT

The Municipality of Wawa is working on Mackey Street (approximate address: 53 Mackey Street) to complete sidewalk replacement work. This work is part of the Municipality’s commitment to upgrade the existing pedestrian infrastructure as part of our ongoing service commitment.

The sidewalk replacement work will result in construction equipment and material deliveries traversing Mackey Street.

The volume of construction deliveries on these roads will vary based on the nature of the work.

PROJECT START DATE: August 31, 2023

All sidewalk replacement activities will be maintained within the existing Municipal road boundary, including the boulevard.

REDUCING THE IMPACT OF CONSTRUCTION

  • Regular working hours for the sidewalk replacement will be between 7:30AM and 4:00PM, Monday to Friday.
  • We will inform you if there are any substantial changes to the scheduling of this project.

NOISE

 

Noise from construction can at times exceed 85dBA.  However, work will be scheduled in accordance with local noise by-laws. Some work outside of regular hours may be necessary for technically challenging construction operations.
