Fire, Police and Ambulance

The Wawa volunteer fire department consists of 22 personnel and Fire Chief, Kevin Sabourin. The team provides fire suppression, auto extrication, water rescue, medical aid when needed, fire education and prevention.

Municipal police services are provided by the Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police. This service provides 24-hour policing with regular daily and nightly patrols.

Algoma district Paramedic services provides pre-hospital care and transportation of the sick and injured by paramedics.
