CONSTRUCTION NOTICE
MICHIPICOTEN RIVER VILLAGE GRAVEL ROAD RESURFACING

The Municipality of Wawa is working in the Michipicoten River Village (Mission) to resurface the gravel residential streets with asphalt reground. This work is part of the Municipality’s commitment to upgrade the existing road infrastructure and increase road longevity in the Mission as part of our ongoing service commitment.

The road resurfacing work will result in construction equipment and material deliveries traversing all residential streets in the Mission. Road resurfacing activities will occur on the following locations:

 Aberdeen Street       Blue Crescent
 Magpie Avenue        Superior Avenue
 Blue Avenue             Hardy Avenue
 Michipicoten Avenue  Wawa Avenue

The volume of construction deliveries on these roads will vary based on the nature of the work.

DATE(S) OF INTERRUPTION: June 13 to June 22, 2022
All road resurfacing activities will be maintained within the existing roadway. The Municipality of Wawa is asking that you park your vehicle(s) in your driveway and not on the road during the dates indicated above.

REDUCING THE IMPACT OF CONSTRUCTION
 Regular working hours for the road resurfacing will be between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
 We will inform you if there are any substantial changes to the scheduling of this project.

NOISE
Noise from construction can at times exceed 85dBA. However, work will be scheduled in accordance with local noise by-laws. Some work outside of regular hours may be necessary for technically challenging construction operations.
