Seasonal Facilities Maintenance OPERATOR
The Municipality of Wawa seeks a motivated person to fill the position of Seasonal Facilities Maintenance Operator. Reporting to the Director of Community Services and Tourism, the successful candidate will provide for the operation, maintenance and repair of municipal recreation and tourism facilities and parklands seasonally between September and April.
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
- Must have and maintain a valid class G driver’s license. (mandatory)
- Must have completed Grade 12 (OSSD or Equivalent) (mandatory)
- 3 years’ experience in ice operations, parks and recreation (preferred)
- Certification in Basic Refrigeration and Ice Maintenance (ORFA) (preferred)
- Lockout/Tagout, Working at Heights and WHMIS training (preferred)
- Must be in good physical condition
- Mechanical knowledge and aptitude an asset
Wage and benefit package is in accordance with USW collective agreement.
Working hours include evenings and weekends based on facility schedules.
