Notice of Intention to Declare Property Surplus
and Dispose of Municpial Land

(Described locally as part of Tourist Information Centre Land)

TAKE NOTICE that Council of the Municipality of Wawa proposes to declare the land described below surplus to municipal needs and intends to sell the property to a provincial government body.

LANDS AFFECTED: The Municipality of Wawa is the registered owner of the lands described as PART OF MC EQ120PT RP 1R6980 PT 1 PCL 1258 MICH RP 1R1243 PT 1 PCL 1168 MICH MC CK85PT PCL 4583 AWS. The land is known locally as part of the Wawa Tourist Information property, the unused portion abutting the Wawa Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry Complex on Mission Road. The land will be severed and sold to a public body for future development. It measures approximately 24,000 square meters in size and is located along Highway 101.

Council will consider a motion to declare the property surplus on November 5, 2024, at its Regular Meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m. Anyone wishing to make comment or speak on this matter at the meeting must contact the Clerk by email (moneill@wawa.cc) or provide written comments to the Clerk before 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

Please note that in the event the matter is deferred by Council for consideration at a future date, no further public notice will be given.
