NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING - TEMPORARY REZONING EXTENSION
TEMPORARY CAMP ACCOMMODATIONS – RED PINE EXPLORATION INC.
TAKE NOTICE THAT Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Wawa has received an application to amend Zoning By-Law No. 2821-15. The application affects land described as Mining Claims MC SSM 3455, Pcl 5136 AWS and SSM 59662, Pcl 1148 MICH in the Geographic Township of McMurry in the Municipality of Wawa in the District of Algoma (See Key Map below).
A statutory Public Meeting will be held as required under the Planning Act to consider the proposed Temporary Rezoning By-Law extension.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF THE PROPOSED TEMPORARY USE ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT EXTENSION
The effect of the extension of the Temporary Use Zoning By-Law Amendment would permit temporary work camps and accessory uses to be continued on the property for the purposes of providing temporary camp accommodations for employees and contractors performing exploration activities on the former gold mine (Citadel) property surrounding the camps for a period of up to an additional three (3) years. This period may be extended for a further three-year period if approved by Municipal Council. A key map depicting the land to which the proposed amendment applies follows this Notice.
Council of the Municipality of Wawa will be holding a public meeting under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter 13 as amended, to inform the public of the proposed Temporary Use Zoning By-Law Amendment Extension and provide opportunity for the public to provide comments.

Any person may provide written submissions regarding the zoning by-law amendment sent to the Clerk via email at moneill@wawa.cc or by mail to: Municipality of Wawa, 40 Broadway Avenue, P0S 1K0, P.O. Box 500. Any person wishing to make an oral statement during the meeting should contact Maury O’Neill at moneill@wawa.cc or 705-856-2244 ex. 223 by Tuesday, April 16th at 4:30 p.m. to ensure they are included in the meeting. All comments and written submissions will form part of the public record of the meeting.
If you are submitting written submissions or making an oral statement to the Municipality concerning the proposed amendments, note that your name and communication with the Municipality will become part of the public record.
IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY wishes to be notified of Council's decision on this proposal, you must send a written request to Maury O’Neill at moneill@wawa.cc or Municipality of Wawa, 40 Broadway Avenue, Wawa, ON, P0S 1K0, P.O. Box 500.
IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of Council of the Municipality of Wawa to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of Wawa before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of Wawa before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
