Ontario Strengthening Mining Sector in Timmins
$695,000 provincial investment promotes job creation and business expansion.
The Ontario government is providing $695,928 through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) to two local mining supply and services sector companies in Timmins to upgrade and expand facilities and purchase new equipment. This investment will help build a stronger Ontario by creating good-paying jobs, expanding business operations and boosting economic growth in the city.
"As one of the largest cities in Northern Ontario, Timmins is a major economic hub and industrial centre,” said Greg Rickford, Minister of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry. “By supporting the local mining supply and services industry, our government is bringing investment and employment opportunities to the community."
