Municipality of Wawa Invites Applications to Participate on the Economic Development-Tourism Advisory Committee
The Municipality of Wawa invites applications for action-oriented, community volunteers to participate in the Economic Development and Tourism Advisory Committee of Council (EDTAC). EDTAC provides advice and recommends strategic direction to Council on policies, procedures and sustainable activities to grow economic, business and tourism opportunities in Wawa and Area. The Municipality of Wawa is looking to fill one (1) vacant position at this time.

Applicants should have the following desired qualifications to participate:

  • Be 16 years of age or older;
  • Be a proven and successful leader of a business or tourism enterprise;
  • Be knowledgeable and experienced in working well with a diverse team;
  • Be committed to constructive dialogue, respectful of other’s opinions and confidentiality; and
  • Be knowledgeable and experienced with tourism development and business retention and attraction strategies.
  • Having a background in marketing, public relations and planning is preferred but not necessary.
