Wawa Cemetery Expansion - Phase 1

TENDER- CONTRACT NO. 21-1503 WAWA CEMETERY EXPANSION – PHASE 1

Submissions for this Tender will be received at saultstemarie@tulloch.ca until Thursday September 21, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. local time (Eastern) for the construction of the works described below:
The work generally consists of the construction of a gravel parking lot, gravel roadway, watermain, decorative concrete walkways, columbaria foundation, installation of columbaria, supply and installation of landscaping amenities, and Surface restoration.

Copies of the tender documents may be obtained commencing Monday, September 11, 2023, from the office of the Consulting Engineer, TULLOCH Engineering, located at 113 White Oak Drive, upon payment of a $100.00 refundable deposit, payable to the Corporation of the Municipality of Wawa, for each set of contract documents. Contractors may have this deposit refunded if the documents are returned in good condition within fifteen (15 days) after the tender closing date. Electronic Preview Copies may be obtained upon request at no charge.

The tender documents can also be viewed at the Municipality of Wawa Bid Opportunities Website. Tenderers who intend to submit a bid must register with TULLOCH in order to obtain the official submission forms by September 19, 2023.

Each tender shall be accompanied by a tender deposit in the form of a bid bond, certified cheque, money order or bank draft payable to the Treasurer of the Municipality of Wawa in the amount of 10% of the Tender Price. The tender deposit and Agreement to Bond shall be delivered to the Municipality in an envelope marked to the Municipality Clerk prior to closing.

Complete tender submission instructions can be found in Part 2 of the “Information to Tenderers” in the Tender documents package. The successful bidder will be required to provide a 100% Performance Bond and a 50% Labour and Material Payment Bond upon execution of the contract.

A public opening of this tender will be held at 3:15 p.m. local time on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at the OFFICE OF THE CONSULTING ENGINEER. Bid Summaries will appear on the Public Notices section of the Municipality website after closing.

Tenders are subject to a formal contract being prepared and executed. The Corporation of the Municipality of Wawa reserves the right to reject any or all tenders and the lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
