CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FROM VOLUNTEERS TO SIT ON 
COUNCIL COMMITTEES AND BOARDS

Wawa Municipal Council invites persons to send an expression of interest to participate in the following Committees/Boards of Council for the 2023-2026 term. Council appoints Committees to examine and review topics or issues that impact citizens and make recommendations on specific topics and/or areas of interest. Committees have Council and citizen representation. 

  • Wawa Cemetery Committee – 5 Public Members to be appointed

To provide input and recommendations regarding the Woodland Cemetery. 

  • Wawa Public Library Board – 5 Public Members to be appointed

To provide oversight to ensure an efficient library service is available. 

  • Wawa Heritage Committee – 7 Public Members to be appointed

To provide input and recommendations on heritage preservation and growth. 

  • Wawa Age-Friendly Committee – 7 Public members to be appointed

To review the Age-Friendly Plan and recommend actions to ensure Wawa is age-friendly for seniors and all residents. 

  • Wawa Marina Committee – 7 Public Members to be appointed

To provide input and recommendations to Council regarding the Marina operations. 

  • Wawa Economic Development and Tourism Committee – 6 Public Members to be appointed

To provide input and recommendations on municipal economic development and tourism plans and activities. 

Please send an email or letter of interest indicating the Committee(s) that you wish to volunteer for with a short statement on the reason(s) why and/or the skills and abilities you have to offer to Sue Lord at slord@wawa.cc by Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at 4:00 p.m.
